Here is our full itinerary from our weekend upstate in Greene County, NY including where we stayed, what we ate + places we explored.
Stay
We stayed at Lakeview Lodge at beautiful lake house located in Athens, NY right on the Sleepy Hollow Lake. It is a breathtaking house which is perfect for a family trip, girls weekend + more. It is the most unique place I ever stated with a disco den, killer record collection, pasta bar + an overall fun, funky vibe.
Eat
Gracie's Luncheonette in Leeds NY. A fun take on a road side dinner where we ate delicious wings + I had a fantastic Cuban sandwich.
Willa's in Catskill, NY. A quaint breakfast + lunch spot serving up egg nog french toast.
Subersive Brewing in Catskill, NY. A brewery where you can enjoy local beer + great cocktails. The best part was the fantastic smash burger. This is a must stop when you are in Catskill.
The Athens Rooster in Athens, NY is the perfect spot to grad breakfast. Their pomento cheese burrito was great.
Ravish Liquors in Coxsackie, NY. This is a true hidden gem. A bar behind Unquiet Upstate antique shop run by the sweet Sarah Grey mixing up margaritas + bloody Mary's. Stop in you will not regret it.
Yellow Deli in Coxsackie, NY. Another hidden gem cooking up delicious sandwiches. I live for a roast beeff sandwich + theirs did not disappoint especially since it was on a homemade bun.
Explore
Catkill, one of my favorite towns in upstate New York. It has a great Main Street with plenty of shops to stop into including Spike's Records, Peyton's Store + fun antique shop Sister Salvage Catskill.
Right across the Hudson River from Catskill is Hudson. Another great upstate town with so many places to shop, places to eat + more. You can spend a whole day exploring Hudson.
Athens is a small, quaint town along the Hudson. Stop into Athen's Rooster pick up a coffee + walk down to the water to enjoy the view.
Coxsackie is just getting started. This town is cute, quaint + has a lot of potential. I am excited to come back to explore + see new things that will be popping up.
For spending a weekend upstate in the dead of winter we sure explored a lot. Greene County NY is definitely an area we will be re-visiting + explore more. What are your favorite spots + towns in Greene County?
